Approximately July 17, 2025, applicants will be notified of their ranking in the pool of eligibles. Those qualifying for the pool of eligibles will be given additional information regarding the apprenticeship program (related training information, selection and formal indenturing into the apprenticeship program).

Geographical Area: The standards apply to the geographic area of Jackson and Josephine Counties, in the state of Oregon.

Selection Method:The selection of each apprentice is based on a lottery system. All applicants must meet the minimum qualifications and provide documentation. Apprentices are selected by a random drawing. Individuals selected by this method will be notified by mail of their ranking. Individuals who are selected for apprenticeship will be referred to employers requesting apprentices. These individuals will be sent out in descending order from the ranked pool of eligibles. If an applicant fails to respond within 48 hours (two working days) for employment the opportunity will go to the next person on the list. Applicants in the ranked pool of eligibles will maintain their rankings for a period of two years. Applicants may be removed from the list at an earlier date by their own request or by a registered return receipt mail notice for failure to respond or accept employment a total of three times. Applicants may submit only one application during each enrollment period. The committee must exhaust their existing list of applicants prior to establishing any subsequent lists.
