Applying for Financial Aid is as easy as 1-2-3
Step 1: Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Oregon Student Aid Application (ORSAA) online as soon after October 1st as possible. Not sure which application to submit? Visit the FAFSA/ORSAA Filter Tool to answer a few questions and find out.

Step 2: Watch for (and respond to) email correspondence from RCC’s Financial Aid Office. Learn More Here.
- Emails from RCC’s Financial Aid Office come from [email protected]. Save that email address in your contacts to avoid it going to your Junk folder.
- Check your MyFinAid account for your “to do” list, award offer, disbursement details, and more.
- If information is required from you, respond promptly to avoid delays in your application processing.
- RCC awards eligible grant funds first, if you qualify. We do not automatically award student loans.
- If you have questions or concerns about your application after you’ve submitted it, contact FinAid Advising.

- Check out our scholarships page to search and apply for scholarships.
- If interested in part-time work at RCC, explore the Student Employment page.
- If you’re graduating from an Oregon high school or completing the GED in Oregon, apply for Oregon Promise Grant.
- Visit OregonStudentAid.gov for more grant opportunities (to help pay for childcare, for members of one of the federally recognized tribes in Oregon, for current or former foster-youth, and more).
- Review the Military Services page for potential funding opportunities.
- Research third-party community agencies like WorkSource Rogue Valley and Vocational Rehabilitation for possible funding programs.
- Make your way to the RCC Advocacy and Resource Center (ARC) web page if you need help making ends meet.
- If you need to borrow student loans, complete the required loan application steps.
