Attending an Allied Health Occupations info session is mandatory for students applying to the Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy programs.

How to Apply
To become a RCC student, you must fill out an online admission application from our Get Started page.
- Complete the Placement Process.
- If you have transcripts from another college, have your official transcripts sent to RCC, 3345 Redwood Highway, Grants Pass, OR 97527. Once you have confirmed that your transcripts have arrived at RCC, submit a Transfer Credit Evaluation Request. Once the evaluation is complete you will be notified as to how transfer coursework may be applied to the Allied Health certificate requirements.

- Attend or watch an Information Session for steps to apply to allied health programs.
- Submit your application or intent to enroll form dependent on program.

There are class size restrictions so it is possible that not all qualified applicants may be accepted. There will be a waitlist established for those not accepted into the cohort immediately in case new clinical space is open or students decline their seats in the cohort. Any application received after the application deadline will reviewed.
Upon acceptance to the program, get your immunization records, background checks and transcripts submitted as soon as possible to secure your spot. Oregon Health Authority (OHA) mandates the below conditions of clinical attendance for all health careers students who have direct patient contact during their program practicum (for more information please see OHA's Student Information Sheet).
- Immunizations: RCC clinical program requires documented receipt of vaccine or documented immunity via titer or valid history of disease, or a record from the Oregon ALERT Immunization Information System. Immunizations include:
- Required Hepatitis B (Hep B)
- Required Measles, mumps and rubella (MMR)
- Required Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis (Tdap)
- Required Varicella
- Recommended Polio
- Recommended Influenza (seasonal flu)
- American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR and First Aid card
- Urine drug screen
- Criminal history (background check)
Students who have not completed the above requirements will be withdrawn from the program. It is your responsibility to watch your email prior to and after acceptance into the program to check for updated requirements. All communication will be via your RCC student email.
Successful Application Tips
We want to help you be successful, so here are a few hints in completing this application:
- Review the application requirements before opening the application.
- Type up your 400-500 word essay before starting the application.
- Application session time out in 120 minutes. Save often, because information will not be saved unless you save it or submit it.
All Applicants will be notified by your student email. You must reply to the email to confirm that you have accepted the position in the program. In your acceptance letter, you will be asked to schedule your initial registration advising appointment. Please be sure to keep your contact information up-to-date on your myRogue account.
