Welcome to RCC's Counseling Center. We have counseling professionals to provide services to our registered students through a variety of methods: in person, via phone, or Zoom, which ever works best for you. Counselors can provide personal counseling, career counseling, assistance with finding out about community resources as well as support navigating RCC processes. We are here to help you with stress, anxiety, or overwhelming feelings that you may be experiencing. Counseling services are available for any registered RCC student at no cost. Because each state has its own licensing boards and teletherapy regulations, we are only able to provide services to students who are located in Oregon.
Counselors are also available for students who have an urgent need and want to speak with a Counselor during open hours. Please call 541-956-7443 and ask to be connected to a counselor. We will do our best to get you connected to a counselor same day, but it may take up to 24 hours to get you connected with a counselor. If there is not a counselor available in person at your campus, you will be connected via phone or Zoom.
Who we are: RCC counselors hold Master’s degrees in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or closely related fields. Our Counselors are licensed or working towards licensure with state or national boards.
What we do: Short-term, free, mental health counseling for all students currently enrolled at RCC. We know that students face a variety of concerns that can have an impact on their education and ability to stay focused on school work. We are here to work with students to develop ways of addressing these concerns.
Our Mission: Counselors provide support that leads to student success and retention. We foster meaningful connections contributing to clearer academic and career direction, as well as increased confidence, self-advocacy, and motivation. Counselors empower students to recognize and overcome internal and external barriers in order to reach their goals. Access, equity, and inclusion principles help us prioritize our efforts.
