Jesse was born and raised in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Jesse is a first‑generation college student whose educational path ultimately led to earning two master’s degrees, including a Master's in Teaching. Driven by a passion for helping others succeed, he spent 15 years as a Language Arts teacher and coach, guiding students in both academics and personal growth.
Jesse is also a multi-genre writer who recently completed his first novel, a western, and is currently developing a thriller/spy story. His creative interests are matched by an eclectic taste in music with a playlist that includes everything from heavy metal and rap to jazz, blues and country. He is a connoisseur of Death Wish’s Vahala Java coffee and single-malt scotch, and loves cooking and spending time with his family.
Jesse’s journey reflects resilience, determination and a commitment to empowering others. You'll find him in Rogue Central, the scary-looking guy with a shiny head, loud voice and unintentional scowl. He is a motivated, highly driven counselor eager to support RCC’s students on their educational journey and help them find solutions that lead to success and the achievement of their goals.
