After leaving my 30-year career in manufacturing and production to pursue my college dreams, I proved to myself that it’s never too late to begin what you’ve always wanted to do. I graduated with my associate’s degree in business at 50 years old, and my journey in higher education has been deeply rewarding. I started working as a student worker at RCC in 2019, continuing my studies while gaining valuable experience. I spent three years working in admissions and recruitment, followed by two years in the testing center, learning and growing every step of the way. Today, I’m an Academic and Career Coach, guiding students as they navigate their paths to success and helping them fulfill their aspirations.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my grown daughters, two cats, and my partner. I’m also an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys paddle boarding, skiing, hiking, and running—anything that keeps me active and under the sunshine. These experiences not only recharge me but also remind me of the importance of perseverance and balance in life, principles I try to instill in the students I support as they chase their dreams.
