| Our Operating Schedule…
The Center follows the same holiday schedule as the college. If the schools are closed due to weather conditions, parents should call the YMCA at 474-0001 to see if the Center is closed.
DAILY SCHEDULE...printable version
7:30-8:15 GREETING Parents sign in their children. Children hang coats & wash hands. Open exploration.
8:15-8:30 Transition Period Children put away toys. Use restroom & wash hands.
8:30-9:30 BREAKFAST Together family style w/ opening or song.
9:30-10:00 CIRCLE Music, special helpers, sharing, calendar, weather, and pledge.
10:00-10:20 SMALL GROUPS For specific developmental instruction. Divide group to use different classrooms; trade places in 10 minutes.
10:20-10:50 PLAYTIME Open exploration in all learning areas.
10:50-11:00Transition Period Children put away toys
11:00-11:35 OUTSIDE Bikes or playground.
11:35-11:45 Transition Period Use the restrooms & wash hands.
11:30-12:30 LUNCHToddlers star at 11:30; Preschoolers at 11:45
Put away lunch, brush teeth, use restroom & wash hands. Head Start Buses drop off & pick up.
12:30-1:00 Transition Period Children look at books until all are lying down or picked up by parents.
1:00-2:00 NAP Staff rub children’s backs & play soft music to relax the children.
2:00-2:45 Quiet Play as children wake up & put away bedding.
2:45-3:00 Transition Period Use restroom & wash hands.
3:00-3:30 PM SNACK Together family style.
3:30-4:30 OUTSIDE Weather permitting or EXPRESSIVE ARTS Music, Dance, Painting, Tumbling, or Computers.
4:30-5:30 MOVIE or OPEN EXPLORATION & GOODBYES Staff can do housekeeping duties at this time while stopping to greet parents & say goodbye to families.
5:00-5:30 STAFF need to finish cleaning. Then turn out lights & lock doors as leaving.

Admission Policy
Age for admission is 24 months through 6 years.
Children must be toilet trained/training. Admittance is determined by the following priorities:
1. Students of RCC
2. Staff of RCC
3. Community
Financial Obligations
Every family accepted into the center must have the financial support to pay for childcare. We do accept families with AFS, Moving On, and vocational rehabilitation support.
Late Fee Costs
Any child that is not picked up by the time the center closes, the following late fee will be charged. The clock in the center will determine the time. 1-5 minutes: $5, every minute thereafter: $2.
