Join Steve Roe as he facilitates this by-invitation-only event.
We will offer an optional time after the poverty simulation, from 12:30-2:00 p.m., for a group debriefing and brainstorming process on how to use what we’ve learned from the poverty simulation activities to apply to the future of RCC faculty, staff and students.

Adjunct Faculty are invited and will be paid at meeting rate.
Lunch will be provided by the RWC Cafeteria.

Program Outcomes:

  1. Participants will have a lived experience of what it's like to be in poverty.
  2. Develop compassion and empathy for people living in poverty.
  3. Increase participants' poverty competency and awareness.
  4. Learn about campus and community resources.
  5. Identify strategies that RCC can adopt to help resource insecure students.
