Healthier Oregon
Thanks to Healthier Oregon, people may now qualify for OHP if they:
- Live in Oregon, and
- Meet income and other criteria.
For example:
- Before, a 45-year-old without a qualifying immigration status could only get CWM benefits (also known as emergency Medicaid).
- As of July 1, 2023, this person is eligible for full OHP benefits.
Planned Parenthood of Southwestern Oregon (PPSO) offers confidential, expert sexual and reproductive health services in an environment that is honest, non-judgmental, and supportive. Services include wellness exams, pregnancy testing and planning, birth control, emergency contraception, STI testing and treatment, abortion, HIV services, vasectomy, and more. Medical Equipment Assistance
Need medical equipment on a short-term basis? Contact ACCESS. At ACCESS, we loan medical equipment at no cost to residents who have short-term needs. There is no eligibility requirement, and we only ask those in need to fill out a liability waiver and return the equipment in working order.

You may be able to get a free eye exam and/or glasses through our partnership with Prevent Blindness (PB).
Lions Eyeglasses Assistance Program (LEAP)
Are you an Oregonian in need of eyeglasses? If your total monthly income is at or below the 200% poverty level and you do not have vision coverage, you may qualify to be sponsored by your local Lions Club for an eye exam and eyeglasses. Please fill out the Get Help Form to get in touch with your local Lions Club. Remember, due to the high demand and resources available in your local area, this process may take a few months.
