Grant grew up in the California Foothills before attending the California Maritime Academy in the Bay Area. His path after college included working in shipyards, kitchens, commercial fishing, and five years in k-12 schools before landing at Rogue Community College. Grant is passionate about Career Technical Education and helping students find high-wage, high-demand, local jobs that will set them up for successful careers. While relatively new to the Rogue Valley, Grant uses his free time to enjoy as much of the plentiful public land, river access, and nature as possible.
