Outdoor Adventure Leadership
The Outdoor Adventure Leadership degree program is articulated with Southern Oregon University’s Bachelor of Science in Outdoor Adventure Leadership and completes the first two years of the 4-year degree. The program is designed to inspire passion for self-development and transformation by providing opportunities to explore and learn leadership skills through outdoor adventure.
The integrated curriculum provides transferable skills to all aspects of life through comprehensive coursework in technical skills, interpersonal development, communication, group dynamics, expedition planning, adventure programming, risk management, wilderness emergency management, and social, environmental and economic stewardship.
Now more than ever the outdoors needs professionals who understand the importance of maintaining natural areas for their power to invoke adventurous, challenging and educational opportunities. The outdoor leadership program prepares students to begin the journey toward important and specific careers in outdoor recreation, outdoor education, adventure education, wilderness therapy, tourism and leisure enterprises.
