Commencement FAQs
When and where is the Commencement ceremony?
Commencement will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. on the Redwood (Grants Pass) Campus.
Graduates check in at the Wiseman Building (see map) at 9:00a.m.
Due to limited parking on campus, using the free JCT Fairgrounds shuttle or carpooling is strongly encouraged.
Cupcakes and cookies will be available after the ceremony, along with time to take photos and connect with faculty.
I’m concerned about guests navigating the bowl. Are accommodations available?
Yes, accessible seating is available, although space is limited. To ensure all graduates and guests can fully participate, please visit this page for further information and a link to the request form as soon as possible.
Do I need to wear a cap and gown to participate?
Yes. Participation in the ceremony requires wearing a black cap and gown.
Cap and gown orders are available through the RCC Marketplace.
Ordering deadlines:
- April 19, 2026 – Last day to ship to campus (free shipping)
- May 24, 2026 – Last day to ship to your home (shipping fees apply)
Pickup deadline:
- Orders shipped to campus can be picked up at your selected campus library, starting May 29th, during regular library hours.
- Purchased items must be picked up from the Riverside (RVC) or Table Rock (TRC) campuses by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.
- Items not picked up by that time will be available at the regalia station the morning of Commencement, at the check-in area by the Wiseman Building - see map.
How do I know if I am eligible to participate?
Students who have applied for graduation and received an eligibility message in the Communicator tab of Degree Audit are eligible to participate in the 2026 Commencement ceremony.
I need to take summer courses. Can I still participate?
Yes. Students who plan to complete all degree requirements by the end of Summer Term 2026 may participate.
To determine your eligibility for participation, you must submit a graduation application.
Will my name appear in the program if I don’t attend?
Yes. If you complete your Graduation Application by May 5, 2026 and are approved, your name will appear in all Commencement publications—even if you do not attend the ceremony.
What time do I need to arrive?
- 9:00 a.m. – Check-in and line-up begin as the Wiseman Building - see map
- 10:00 a.m. – Processional begins
A reception with cupcakes and cookies will follow the ceremony.
Will my name be read during the ceremony?
Yes. You must check in on the day of Commencement to receive a name card, which you can modify if needed. Your name will be read as you walk across the stage.
When will I receive my degree or certificate?
Degrees and certificates are processed after all grades are confirmed. You can expect to receive your degree or certificate 4–6 weeks after final grades are submitted.

Our diploma provider, Parchment, will contact you via your personal email address to:
- Confirm your mailing address for your physical diploma
- Provide a digital diploma that can be shared electronically
When will my degree or certificate appear on my transcript?
Degrees and certificates are typically notated on official RCC transcripts approximately four weeks after all grades and program completions are finalized.
Will the ceremony be live-streamed?
Yes. Commencement will be live-streamed on the RCC YouTube channel for friends and family who cannot attend in person.
A professionally produced video will be available on the RCC Commencement Video page approximately one week after the ceremony.
