(4 credits each) Introduces basic skills in reading and speaking; includes elementary exercises in grammar and composition. Special attention is given to developing oral comprehension. Foreign language courses must be taken in sequence. Not suitable for heritage speakers. Prerequisites: RD30 or designated placement test score as shown on current indicator chart; WR121 (may be taken concurrently).
