Our Mission:

The mission of the Rogue Community College Office of Diversity is to provide leadership and guidance that reflect and honor the diversity of the region. We continue to encourage and support a fair and safe environment for our college and our community.

Goals & Objectives:

• Increase student and staff awareness and appreciation of diversity issues
• Sponsor and support diversity trainings for RCC staff and students
• Support the Office(s) of Diversity and student Multicultural Center(s)
• Act as a liaison to other campus and community groups interested in diversity
• Review and renew the diversity plan
• Support student initiated diversity activities
• Encourage self directed projects by staff and students focusing on diversity
• Promote bilingual and bicultural resources to students.
• Encourage infusion of diversity issues into existing courses by sharing resources with faculty.
• Assist and support high school outreach efforts, especially in the area of diverse students
• Send a team of students and staff to annual Oregon Diversity Institute
