WOODMAN, MARY ANN
I traveled around the world learning and working in foreign countries, including Europe, Africa, South America, Asia, Russia, and the Caribbean. I spend winters in Hawaii. These experiences offered me a multi-cultural education and inspired me with a very positive vision of humanity. I graduated from Oregon State University with a major in Education and minored in Psychology, and later became interested in Psycho-Spiritual Transformation Processes and Naturopathic Medicine. With a Master’s from the University of Notre Dame, I began to work as an Educator and Counselor in Oregon’s Correctional Institutions and the Oregon State Psychiatric Hospital. I directed a Women’s Crisis Center and a Suicide Prevention Center, and was a foster mom for troubled teens. As a mental health counselor for Jackson County Mental Health, I offered many opportunities to journey with people toward wellness. My Doctorate studies focused on integrating Spirituality, Psychology and Health. I have a private counseling practice in Ashland for many years. In 2005, I began teaching in the Psychology Department at Rogue Community College and enjoy the students and faculty very much. My hobbies include hiking, swimming, sailing, kayaking, and scuba diving. In Hawaii I work with the International Whale and Dolphin Foundation, and in the summer recreate in Oregon and Alaska. I believe in a balanced life style to promote a sense of inspiration, joy and well-being. Degrees Earned Certificates |
