ABE/GED®
Adult Basic Education and General Educational Development (GED®)
Did you know that more than 95 percent of employers nationwide employ GED® graduates on the same basis as high school graduates in terms of hiring, salary, and opportunity for advancement?
RCC offers Adult Basic Education (ABE) and GED® preparation classes to anyone who does not have a high school diploma or needs to review basic skills and is at least 16 years old. Please contact one of our learning centers below for more information. The GED® program allows you to earn a high school equivalency certificate by passing the following four tests:
- Reasoning Through Language Arts
- Social Studies
- Science
- Mathematics
RCC’s GED® programs cost only $65 a term and are offered at our learning center locations and online. Although most students enrolled in the program are preparing for the GED® exams, many are enrolled to enhance academic and pre-employment skills. For more information about our program, please click on the blue button above, “GED® Study Program at RCC."
Cap and gown graduation is held in June. Follow this link for more information about our next graduation event.
