Adult Basic Skills

Basic skills programs for adults offer instruction in areas such as reading, writing, mathematics, critical thinking, and job skills.

 

New and returning Adult Basic Skills students should call a learning center in their area to schedule an orientation. In addition, employers who want to provide basic skills training for their workers may contract for services that are designed especially for their work sites.

Adults who need to learn basic reading, writing, and math skills may attend classes tailored for their needs and study independently in a learning lab with assistance from qualified instructors. Students also may use the RCC academic success centers for basic skills review prior to taking the college placement test.

Los Centros de Educación para adultos en RCC ofrecen cursos básicos en las areas de lectura, escritura, matemáticas, computacioñ, preparación para tomar el examen de GED®, inglés como segunda lengua, y el mejoramiento de destrezas en varias áreas. Los estudiantes pueden matricularse en cualquier programa a lo largo del trimestre, al comunicarse con la oficina del centro de aprendizaje indicado.
