AP 3440 Service/Assistance Animals
Domestic animals and pets are not permitted in classrooms or other College buildings, except for service or assistance animals that are certified or in training to assist individuals with disabilities.
Individuals who bring an animal onto campus pursuant to this procedure are responsible for ensuring that the animal remains on a leash at all times and under the individual’s control. The individual must also promptly remove and properly dispose of any animal waste. Animals may not be left unattended, confined in a vehicle, or tied to a tree, pole, building, sign, or any other object on College property.
The disposition of unsupervised or unattended animals will be determined on a case-by-case basis by Campus Security. Actions may include, but are not limited to, contacting animal control, taking necessary steps to protect the safety of the animal or others, or other appropriate measures, which may include entry into a vehicle if required to prevent harm.
