Rogue Community College (RCC) actively engages in a shared governance structure. Meetings of the Board of Education are held in accordance with board policy and promote an atmosphere of shared governance by including a public comment period as well as reports from the following interest groups:
- Student government
- Classified employee association
- Faculty employee association
- Faculty senate
- RCC Foundation
- Institutional Research
- Finance and Operations
- Academic Affairs
- Student Affairs
- Special presentations from the college or community stakeholders, by invitation
RCC has an extensive council/committee/taskforce structure which allows and maintains a culture of communication and inclusive decision making across all campuses, employment categories, and student roles. These groups are established as needed and appropriate, with the Executive Team engaging in a regular review of these groups and their functions to ensure broad, fair, and equitable engagement with the Rogue Community College decision-making process. The Senior Leadership and Executive Teams meet regularly to discuss matters related to college operations and serves in an advisory capacity to the college president.
Community Input
RCC engages community members in an advisory capacity regarding institutional planning, campus safety, program and curriculum development, and budget preparation as required. At the president’s discretion, community members may be invited to serve on other advisory committees.
