Indra Nicholas

Indra NicholasA native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Indra grew up in a small town near Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. Indra then moved to Sacramento, California, where she attended National University, and received a K-12 teaching credential and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She also became certified to teach English as a Second Language (ESL).

After moving to Grants Pass in 1996, Indra was a substitute teacher for Grants Pass School District 7. In 2005, she opened an in-home care agency that provided caregiving services throughout Southern Oregon. Indra now owns and operates Udders, an ice cream and gelato shop in Grants Pass.

Indra has been involved with numerous clubs and organizations within the Rogue Valley, including the Grants Pass Chamber of Commerce, Rogue Gateway Rotary, Women Entrepreneurs of Southern Oregon, and the Josephine County Republican Women. She is an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She enjoys spending time with her 4 children and 5 grandchildren. Her passions include watching sports, reading, games, and travel.
