Gary Plano
Gary grew up in Connecticut into a large Italian American family and moved to the Seattle area in 1977. Following a brief employment with Pan American World Airways, he worked in K-12 education, having served as a teacher at all three levels. His 37-year career in education included positions in administration with the last 10 years serving as superintendent. He received his undergraduate degree from Long Island University, a master’s degree from Stony Brook University and a doctorate in educational leadership and policy from Seton Hall University. Gary and his partner, Mark, moved to the Rogue Valley in 2017, and Gary includes Rotary and CASA (court-appointed special advocate) to the list of service organizations to which he’s involved. In his spare time, you might find Gary performing in community theatre somewhere in the Rogue Valley.
