Manufacturing/Engineering Technology
Manufacturing and engineering technicians use computers to design, machine, and manufacture products as well as for quality and process control. Technicians also plan and design processing methods and equipment so that a product can be manufactured economically.
Careers in manufacturing and engineering offer excellent job opportunities with family wages, room for advancement, and even the opportunity for self-employment.
About the Program
RCC's two-year program integrates conventional manufacturing techniques with computer-integrated manufacturing. Computer aided drafting (CAD) and computer aided manufacturing (CAM) are used as basic tools in the manufacturing engineering process.
In addition to technical training, students receive a solid education in mathematics and physical science along with human relations and computer skills courses.
