Biography
I have been an instructor at RCC since the fall of 2021. Before RCC I was a Chief Information Officer and Information Security officer within the medical and banking world. I was also a cyber-security consultant to registered investment advisory firms and broker-dealer firms across the United States. In my capacity as a consultant, I also provided one-on-one and group training on cyber security principles to various companies. The goal of my training and consulting was to help firms comply with their regulatory requirement, and to establish practices that would prevent cyber security breaches. I grew up in the Rogue Valley, and my wife and I returned to the area in 2003. As an instructor I enjoy seeing students gain confidence with different computer applications, and to apply that knowledge to other areas of computing.

Biography
I have been a Part-time Instructor at RCC since Spring 2009. Before RCC I was a Consultant to a Fortune 500 Company for the prior 5 years. In addition to efficiency consulting, I also provided one-on-one and group training on the 4 programs that the company utilized. While working with employees one of my goals was to help them use the software in the most efficient manner, to assist them in troubleshooting procedures and ensure knowledge, shortcuts and tricks were shared among the 12 offices. My family and I returned to Grants Pass in 2005. I currently teach CS 60, CS 120 Lab, Excel, and PowerPoint. As an instructor I enjoy seeing students gain confidence with different computer applications and feel that I continue learn right alongside them.
