Who?

Anyone with RCC login credentials who has a cumulative GPA (grade point average) of at least 2.5 and will enroll in at least 6 credits per term at RCC 2022 fall (and following).

We recommend that you submit a timely FAFSA® Application | Federal Student Aid or ORSAA ASAP after 10/1/2021 to be considered for need-based scholarships.

Anyone with RCC login credentials who has a cumulative GPA (grade point average) of at least 2.5 and will enroll in at least 6 credits/term at RCC 2023 fall, and following. Exception: If you are completing your RCC degree 2023 spring with a cumulative GPA of 2.5+ and transferring to OSU, OIT, PSU or SOU as of 23 Fall term for 2023/2024, complete a Matriculation Scholarship application instead of the General.

We recommend that you submit a 23/24 FAFSA® Application | Federal Student Aid or ORSAA ASAP after 10/1/2022 to be considered for need-based scholarships.

When?

Internal: (from the RCC Foundation): Now closed. (was 2/1/2022-6/1/2022).

External: Open year-round. See individual scholarships for application deadlines.

Internal: (from the RCC Foundation): Opens 2/1/2023 and closes 6/1/2023. Submit a complete application by 4/1/2023 to be entered into a bonus $500 Early Bird drawing. New scholarships are added all the time. To be considered for ALL you match to, RE-SUBMIT just prior to 6/1/2023.

External: Open year-round. See individual scholarships for application deadlines.

What?
  • The RCC Foundation awards approximately $500,000 annually. Our goal is to award $1,000-$6,000 per recipient. We are generally able to award about 1 in 3-4 applicants. Be sure to put care into your application. Submit ONE internal application to be considered for ALL you match to.
  • There are over 13,000 vetted, external scholarships in ScholarshipUniverse; real funding to help real students...like YOU. Submit an external application for EACH you match to.
How?

  • Log into ScholarshipUniverse using your RCC credentials:
  • Answer questions to be matched to scholarships that you qualify for.
  • Apply for any internal scholarships and each external scholarship.
  • Watch for RCC student emails and texts. Return to your ScholarshipUniverse Dashboard anytime to monitor your status and keep applying

  • 2022/2023 award offers are sent to RCC student emails about a month after the deadline. They include the scholarship name, amount and criteria to maintain eligibility. (Save to refer to.)
  • You must submit a timely on-line "Thank You" to accept each offer. Don’t lose it by missing the deadline!
  • Your RCC Foundation scholarship total is added to your Financial Aid Award Letter, then applied to your RCC student account generally just prior to each fall/winter/spring term. Any excess balance is refunded to your BankMobile (or designated) account as early as the end of the term’s second week to be used toward your cost of living.
  • Can't maintain eligibility? Exceptions are considered as funding is available. Apply here.
