Goals
- To prepare Paramedics who are competent in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains to enter the profession.
- To prepare Advanced EMTs who are competent in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains to enter the profession.
Outcomes
Outcomes for the Rogue Community College Paramedic Program are reported annually. For 2024, RCC graduates had a pass rate on the NREMT cognitive exam of 100%. Our retention rate for students in the same period was 84.2%, and 93.8% of those graduates found employment in the field (positive placement).
For the five-year period of 2020-2024, RCC graduates had a pass rate on the NREMT cognitive exam of 98% overall, with 95% successful on the first attempt. Our retention rate for students in the same period was 82%.
Accreditation
The Rogue Community College Paramedic Program is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP).
In addition, the Rogue Community College EMT courses and program are accredited by the Oregon Higher Education Coordinating Commission and the Oregon Health Authority, EMS & Trauma Office.
