RCC and KCC Partnership

RCC and KCC Partnership to Expand Paramedic Education

To better serve the region, RCC is working in partnership with KCC to remove barriers to EMS education. Klamath students can complete their first-year general education and EMS courses at KCC and seamlessly transition into a paramedic pathway at RCC. The RCC Paramedic course schedule has been modified to minimize class days and required travel to Jackson County.

Lecture/Discussion Classes
Lecture classes are four hours in length and held Monday and Wednesday mornings at the RCC Table Rock Campus (TRC) in White City.

Lab Classes (Skills and scenarios)
Lab classes are also four hours in length and are held on Monday and Wednesday afternoons. In-person attendance at the RCC Table Rock Campus (TRC) is required for all classes and labs.

Clinical Time
Clinical educational shifts are required in multiple hospital departments, some of which may need to be completed in the Rogue Valley. Whenever possible, clinical shifts are completed at Sky Lakes Medical Center and ambulance ride time is completed at Klamath County Fire District #1.

Field Internship
Efforts will be made to place students at internship sites that are close to their home when possible, but no guarantee of local placement is possible, and travel may be required.
