RCC’s Textbook Affordability Group (TAG) works to reduce the cost burden on RCC students, promoting the development and adoption of high-quality alternatives to expensive traditional textbooks.

- With Oregon’s recent passage of HB 2213 on textbook affordability, TAG has a lot on the agenda for 2019-2020. The law mandates that colleges and universities develop a Textbook Affordability Plan that informs faculty and students about affordable options, develops measurable goals to reduce textbook costs, and mitigates the impact of reduced bookstore revenues, while maintaining faculty’s academic freedom to choose course materials.
