The Associate of General Studies – Pre-Professional Medicine Interest degree at Rogue Community College is a flexible, two-year option for students who plan to pursue medical school or other health-professional programs after earning a bachelor’s degree. This pathway allows you to begin key science coursework — such as biology, chemistry, physics and math — while completing general education requirements. Because medical and health-professional programs have very specific expectations, you should work closely with an academic advisor to plan courses that support your long-term goals.

Plan your Path to Medicine
Medical and health-professional programs have strict requirements that vary by school. GPA expectations, required lab sciences and standardized exams (such as the MCAT) are set by the transfer institution, not RCC. Early and regular advising is essential to stay on track.
Meet with an Academic Advisor to map out science coursework and transfer options that support your pre-professional goals.
