Rogue Community College offers tools and support to help you stay on track and make informed choices that set you up for success after RCC.For many students, starting at a community college is a smart way to save money, stay close to home and prepare for a four‑year degree. Preparing for transfer means choosing the right courses and building a plan that aligns with your major and the college or university you want to attend.

Direct Transfer
The direct transfer option is designed for students who have chosen a specific transfer institution and academic major and want to take courses that align with those goals.
As a direct transfer student, you will work toward meeting your transfer school’s admission requirements, which may include:
- A minimum transfer GPA.
- Completion of specific courses such as WR 121Z or MTH 111Z.
- A required number of transferable credits.
Admission requirements vary by institution. If you do not meet transfer student criteria, you may need to meet freshman admission requirements instead. You are encouraged to review your transfer school’s website for the most accurate and current details.
Courses taken at RCC are evaluated and accepted on a course‑by‑course basis by the transfer institution.
Reverse Transfer
Reverse transfer allows you to earn an associate degree while continuing toward a bachelor’s degree. This option creates an efficient pathway and provides an additional credential that can strengthen your résumé and scholarship applications.
You may qualify for reverse transfer if:
- You complete at least 24 college‑level credits at Rogue Community College.
- You transfer to a university or another college before earning your RCC degree.
- Coursework completed elsewhere fulfills remaining RCC degree requirements.
If eligible, credits can be transferred back to RCC and applied toward an associate degree.
