Rogue Community College’s Phlebotomy Career Pathway Certificate prepares you to enter the workforce quickly as a certified phlebotomist. In just one term, you gain the skills needed to collect blood samples safely, accurately and confidently in medical settings such as clinics, hospitals and laboratories.
This program is a strong fit if you are looking for a fast, focused way to start working in health care or take the next step toward a longer-term medical career. You learn through a combination of online coursework, hands-on training in RCC’s phlebotomy lab and a supervised practicum in a local health care setting. Training focuses on patient safety, proper specimen handling and clear communication with patients and medical teams. You practice working with patients of all ages and conditions while building professionalism, organization and calm decision-making in busy clinical environments. New cohorts begin each term, and part-time options may be available by speaking with a program advisor. Courses are available at the Redwood and Table Rock campuses.
