RCC Complaint & Grievance Procedures
Rogue Community College is committed to promoting a welcoming and safe environment that respects and celebrates diversity.
Occasionally, individuals may encounter a college-related problem, concern, conflict, or issue that negatively impacts them or others. If this happens, individuals are generally encouraged to attempt to resolve the issue directly with the parties involved.
The forms listed with links below can be used by students, employees, or community members to alert the college of incidents, raise concerns, and file complaints. RCC cares about your experiences. We take reports seriously and do what we can to resolve issues. If you are uncertain which form to use, detailed explanations are listed below.
Please note: This is not a 911 or emergency reporting site. If you witness an incident in progress, a medical emergency, or have been a victim of a safety or security incident, call 911 immediately. Making this report to the College should never take the place of dialing 911 should a person feel threatened, or that one’s safety or the safety of others is at risk.
Accident/Injury Reporting:Use this form to report any on-campus accident involving a vehicle or any physical accident, injury, or medical incident-related issue, including athletic injuries. Campus Security should also be notified of all criminal activity and emergency situations on campus after 911 has been contacted.
Academic Integrity/Dishonesty Incident: Use this form to report an incident of academic dishonesty, including cheating, plagiarism, misuse of AI, and other academic dishonesty.
Disability-Related Barrier: Use this form if you have experienced a physical barrier to access on campus (i.e. blocked ramp, faulty accessible door opener, etc.), or a digital barrier on the RCC website or other college online portal (inaccessible web page, etc.) including myRogue, Blackboard or the RCC Campus App.
Student Conduct Incident: Use this form to report behavior that may violate RCC's Standards of Student Conduct, not including incidents related to academic integrity or academic dishonesty (these should be reported via the Academic Integrity/Dishonesty Incident Incident form).
Sexual Harassment and Gender: Use this form to report incidents of sexual harassment and gender discrimination, including those that may fall under Title IX. For more information, refer to the Title IX Resources page.
Student of Concern Incident: Use this form to report concerns about a student that are not violations of the student standards of conduct—for example, if a student has food or housing insecurity, lack of access to hygiene or clean clothes, if their behavior has changed dramatically without an expressed reason, or if their behavior indicates that they are considering harm to themselves or others.
Student Concern and Complaint Procedure: For situations not covered above, in which a student feels their rights (as identified in RCC’s Student Responsibilities, Rights and Freedoms procedure), or a specific RCC policy or procedure were violated, students should follow the steps outlined in AP 5530 Student Concern and Complaint Procedure
