The Family Support Services Certificate of Completion at Rogue Community College prepares you to support children and families in meaningful, hands-on ways. This flexible program builds on the Career Pathway Certificate and helps you deepen your skills so you can move into the workforce quickly or step into more advanced roles. Whether you are starting a new career or building on experience, you gain practical training that can lead to increased responsibility and higher pay.
You learn through a mix of online, hybrid and in-person classes designed to fit your life. Many students take one or two classes at a time while working or raising a family, while others attend full time and complete the certificate in as few as four terms. Coursework integrates relationship-centered and trauma-informed approaches and includes training that meets community health worker certification requirements through the Oregon Health Authority. When you are ready, you can continue your education with the Family Support Services Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree.
