The Early Childhood Education Certificate program prepares you to advance your profession in the field of Early Childhood Education (ECE), working with infants, toddlers or preschoolers. This program builds on the ECE Intermediate certificate and prepares you to teach or fulfill other roles in child care centers, home-based child care, preschools, home visiting programs and parent education settings.
This four-term program is flexible for both new students and those already working in early childhood education. It fulfills the formal training requirement for the Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and the requirements for Oregon Registry: Pathways to Professional Recognition in Childhood Care and Education (ORO) Step 8.5.
This Certificate of Completion is the third step in RCC’s Early Childhood Education career pathway and leads to the Early Childhood Education Associate of Applied Science degree. It also contributes to the Early Childhood Development Transfer to SOU or Early Intervention Transfer to WOU transfer degrees.
