Before you begin the Phlebotomy program at Rogue Community College, there are a few important steps to know about. This program is part of RCC’s Allied Health Occupations offerings and includes a practicum with direct patient contact, so certain academic, health and background requirements are required by the Oregon Health Authority. Students enter the program as part of a structured cohort, which helps create a supportive learning environment and keeps you on track to finish in one term. New cohorts begin each term.
Graduation Requirements
The Phlebotomy Career Pathway Certificate requires the completion of 12-13 program credits. Students must complete all courses outlined in this program with a grade of “C” or better to earn a certificate. An RCC certificate is required to sit for the NHA (CPT) Exam.

Credit for Prior Learning
The Phlebotomy program may be eligible for Credit for Prior Learning, meaning your work experience, training or other learning outside the classroom could count for college credit — helping you save time and reduce costs.
