Rogue Community College’s Industrial Mechanics and Maintenance Apprenticeship Technologies Associate of Applied Science degree program allows you to turn your registered apprenticeship into a college degree while you keep working. You combine paid, full-time, on-the-job training with related classroom learning that follows Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) standards. The degree is a special admission program available to BOLI-registered apprentices in RCC’s Millwright, Boiler Operator and Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic programs.
As part of RCC’s Industrial Mechanics and Maintenance Technology Apprenticeship Pathway, this degree recognizes the training you are already completing through your apprenticeship and adds targeted general education courses to build long-term career skills. You may earn college credit for an earned journey-level card through Credit for Prior Learning — helping you finish faster and enter the workforce quickly. The pathway also keeps transfer options open, including an optional route to a bachelor’s degree at Oregon Tech or Southern Oregon University.
