My favorite activity living in the Rogue Valley is:
"I have lived part-time and now full-time in Applegate Valley since 2008. In addition to meeting and supporting local business owners through SBDC, I enjoy exploring local wineries, restaurants, shops, and farmers' markets. You can often find me hiking trails and RVing throughout Oregon with my partner and two dogs."

Karen is a business advisor and the HR instructor for Rogue SBDC. She advises on pre-venture, start-up, and business operations, and with construction contractors. She also specializes in human resources and workforce matters, from compliance to strategies for attracting and retaining workers.
Karen has over thirty years in human resources and operations management and executive level positions in private and public organizations, and prior in public relations, chambers of commerce, and non-profits. She has industry experience in restaurants, real estate, healthcare, and professional services. She holds a doctorate degree in organization and leadership and has completed programs in executive coaching and project and change management.
