Rogue Community College’s Dental Assistant certificate program prepares you to join the dental team and support patients and providers from day one. You learn core clinical and administrative skills, including preparing patients for procedures, taking radiographs, maintaining infection control, scheduling appointments and supporting a smooth, welcoming visit. This special admission program is a one-year certificate designed to help you enter the workforce quickly. Through classroom learning and a supervised practicum with 300 hours in dental offices, you build confidence working chairside and behind the front desk.
You also prepare for national dental assisting exams and expanded functions so you can meet employer needs and start your career with strong, in-demand skills. Financial aid is available, and the application window is January-March 31 for a fall start at RCC.
