The Plumber Apprenticeship Program at Rogue Community College prepares you for a skilled, in-demand career installing and maintaining the systems that bring clean water into homes and businesses and carry waste away safely. You will learn to work with piping, fixtures and water and drainage systems in residential, commercial and industrial settings while building the technical and problem-solving skills employers look for.
This four-year apprenticeship combines paid, on-the-job training with classroom instruction, helping you move into the workforce quickly while earning as you learn. With a few additional courses, you can also work toward an Associate of Applied Science degree in Construction Trades, giving you more options to grow your career over time.
Program Highlights
This program blends hands-on experience with structured learning to help you build confidence and real-world skills from day one. After completing the program, apprentices are eligible to take the licensing exam through the Oregon Building Codes Division.
- Earn while you learn through paid, on-the-job training with industry employers.
- Complete 144 hours of classroom instruction each year alongside field training.
- Prepare to take the Oregon state licensing exam after completing the program.
- Explore the option to earn a Construction Trades General Apprenticeship Certificate of Completion upon finishing the apprenticeship.
