Visit a Military Resource Center for in-person support as you get started. 

Step 1: Apply for Admission 

Complete the RCC admission application — it is fast, free and required for all programs. 

After you apply, you will receive your RCC ID number by email. You will use this ID throughout your time at RCC.

Step 2: Plan for Paying for College

Complete your financial aid application.

Step 3: Complete the Placement Process 

All new students must complete the Placement Process to determine readiness for college-level math and writing courses. 

You must complete this step before registering for classes.

Step 4: Advising and Registration 

Once your application is complete, you will be connected with advisors and receive next steps for registration. 

Your support team includes: 

  • A Military Coordinator, who serves as your Academic Advisor for Military Education Benefits.  
  • A Financial Aid Advisor, who helps you understand costs and funding options.

Step 5: Complete New Student Orientation 

New Student Orientation (NSO) is required and helps you start strong at RCC. 

During NSO, you will learn about: 

  • Campus resources.  
  • Student tools and technology.  
  • Tips for success.  

You can complete orientation online using your RCC student email. You may pause and return at any time.

Submitting transcripts early helps avoid delays in benefit certification. 

Step 8: Connect With a Military Coordinator 

After you receive your Certificate of Eligibility (COE), contact the Military Coordinator for next steps.

Pay your tuition through myRogue or set up an installment payment plan if your costs are not fully covered by Financial Aid or GI Bill®. 

As a Military student using a GI Bill® Educational benefit, it is your responsibility to obtain official military and academic transcripts from all institutions that you have previously attended.
