Requirements to Teach
To teach College Now courses, you must meet RCC faculty qualifications.
Minimum qualifications are based on standards set by accreditors and vary by subject area. In general, this includes a combination of:
- Relevant degrees in the subject or related field.
- Graduate-level coursework in the discipline.
- Professional or industry experience for Career and Technical Education fields.

If you do not currently meet qualifications, you may still be able to participate through sponsored dual credit, which includes mentorship and support from RCC faculty.

You will:

Choosing and Offering Courses
College Now courses are selected in collaboration with you, your high school and RCC.
Not all RCC courses are available at the high school level. Available courses are pre-approved and based on academic areas and student needs.
Each year, you will confirm which courses you plan to offer and when they will be taught. RCC will then schedule those courses so students can register.

Supporting Student Registration
Students enroll in College Now courses through RCC.
New and returning College Now students will fill out a College Now Application and Registration form each semester they are seeking college credit. You will help guide students through this process and connect them to resources so they can get started with confidence.
