Things to Consider

This program is ideal if you plan to transfer to a university and earn a bachelor’s degree. If you transfer before completing the Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer (AAOT), your courses will be evaluated individually by the receiving institution.
Psychology programs at some universities require a minimum grade of “C” in psychology and core courses; C- grades don’t always count.
A bachelor’s degree is a minimum requirement for most psychology-related careers.

Graduation Requirements

The Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer (AAOT) - Psychology Interest degree requires the completion of 90 program credits in addition to prerequisite credits, which may be waived based on placement. Students must complete all courses outlined in this program with a grade of “C” or better to earn a degree. Students are strongly encouraged to meet with an Academic or faculty advisor before beginning any coursework.

Students planning to transfer should also review GPA and course-specific requirements at their intended university.

World Language Requirement

Transferring to a four-year school? If you plan to apply for transfer to a public university in Oregon, you must meet a world language requirement. You can meet this requirement by completing two years of the same world language in high school or two college-level terms. RCC offers courses in Spanish, French and American Sign Language (ASL).
