Diesel Specialist

The Diesel Specialist Certificate at Rogue Community College is a four‑term program that launches you straight into an exciting, fast‑growing industry. You’ll start with the basics, then quickly move into diagnosing and repairing modern diesel equipment. Everything you learn is built on top industry standards.

You’ll be taught by manufacturer certified instructors who bring real‑world experience to every lesson. Once you step out of the classroom and into the shop, the skills you’ve learned really come alive. You’ll train with professional tools, work on heavy‑duty vehicles and get a feel for what the job is truly like.

Hands‑on learning is at the heart of this program. About two‑thirds of your time is spent in the diesel lab, applying what you’ve learned to real equipment. As your confidence grows, so does the complexity of the repairs you take on — giving you the skills you need to succeed in the field.
