As a computer support technician, you ensure networks and systems stay healthy, and you help people solve their tech issues so they can get their work done. It’s a solid entry point into the tech field and gives you the problem-solving foundation you need for more advanced IT careers.
In this program, you will build your skills through classroom work led by instructors with industry experience. You will have extensive computer lab time and practical experience through a Help Desk internship.

- Recommend the right equipment acquisitions, maintenance, upgrade and life-cycling in the workplace.
- Use standard business software to support digital projects.
- Follow basic troubleshooting steps — from first check to final report.
- Create clear technical documentation to help teams communicate and stay on track.
Year 1: You’ll build a strong foundation in computer hardware and operating systems, get comfortable with network architecture and software, and wrap up the year by diving into advanced operating system functions and network security. You’ll also sharpen your skills in tools like Word and Visio, plus level up in algebra, technical writing and communication.
Year 2: Your second year builds on everything you learned by introducing programming in C#, C++ and database development. You’ll also complete an internship and have the opportunity for Cooperative Work Experience. You’ll be ready to step into the workforce with real hands-on experience the day you graduate.
