Nikki Johnson, Director of Veterans Services
Nikki had been working in education for 12 years as a high school inner-city teacher, special education, volleyball coach, and alternative education before coming to Rogue Community College (RCC). Nikki started working at RCC in 2009 as a Veterans Coordinator for GI Bill students. She has developed curriculum and teaches a College Success and Survival class designed only for student veterans as they transition from military to college life. Nikki is delighted and honored to service our student veterans at RCC.

She also has developed 501(c) 3s for four other non-profit organizations throughout the Rogue Valley. Nikki also serves as the Treasurer for Southern Oregon Military Appreciation Foundation (SOMAF) in Medford, Oregon as an organization assisting veterans with resources needed for education, housing, transportation, and food.
Nikki received her Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Northwest Christian University (NCU) in Eugene, OR and a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Physical Education with two specialized minor degrees in Youth Guidance and Athletic Training from Colorado Christian University (CCU) in Lakewood, CO.
Nikki was born as a true Oregonian and is thrilled to return to the Rogue Valley after living in Colorado for 15 years. She enjoys her dog, the great outdoors, traveling, hiking, and biking. Nikki also has a passion for the people in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya as she traveled to Africa several times to participate in home visits, teach, and assist in creating home jobs.
