Rogue Community College (RCC), in partnership with the Rogue Community College Foundation, is seeking funding to renovate the beloved Marjorie Holzgang Concert Bowl – a beautiful 1600-person outdoor amphitheater set in a spectacular natural setting on the RCC Redwood Campus in Grants Pass.

Once completed, the renovated space will offer cultural and economic development opportunities to the region by hosting arts, music, and civic events, along with other entertainment opportunities at the renovated Bowl.

Originally constructed in 1982 for the citizens of Southern Oregon through the fundraising efforts of the RCC Foundation, the Bowl now requires significant renovation to meet ADA approved accessibility standards, install fixed seating and create safer walkways.

Initial upgrades to the site and building will require an estimated $1.5M in construction funding. Future planned investments in sound and lighting and other space upgrades will yield a high-quality outdoor performance amphitheater for Josephine County akin to the Britt Music Festival and Bi Mart amphitheaters in Jackson County.

RCC's Foundation formed the Rogue Bowl Renovation committee in 2022 and is seeking funding opportunities in coordination with Rogue Community College’s state, federal, and regional fund seeking efforts supporting the project.

Initial project site plans, developed in 2012, depict the configuration of new seating, access routes and updated sound/lighting infrastructure. Plans are being updated to articulate the phased implementation of this project and will include current construction cost estimates.
