At Counter Culturist we’re dedicated to blending ancient wisdom, literature, modern science, and practical advice to help you wake up and thrive in this chaotic, modern world. At the core of this purpose is the sacred power of the written word.
Words have the power to shift perspectives, start revolutions, connect lovers, and even help you feel a little less alone.
As a result, we want to help young minds awaken to their own potential by providing the right outlet and thought provoking questions.
So, we’ve created the Counter Culturist Awakening Young Minds Scholarship for Undergrad, Postgrad, and even High School students with the passion for using words to transform our inner and outer realities to receive a $500 award.
Students who are currently studying Poetry, Philosophy, English, Psychology, or other Liberal Arts may be extremely interested in this scholarship program, but it’s open to students across any discipline. All we care about is that your essay is dripping with passion.

Eligibility:
We’ve created the Counter Culturist Awakening Young Minds Scholarship for Undergrad, Postgrad, and even High School students with the passion for using words to transform our inner and outer realities to receive a $500 award.
Special Criteria:
To participate in this scholarship program you’ll have to create an essay over 1,000 words on the topic of ‘The Nature of Reality Isn’t Quite What We Think’.
Your essay can touch on or draw inspiration from the following ideas:
How does the Internet shape our view of the current world?
How can reading Whitman change your life?
How can philosophy stay relevant into the future?
How does Jung’s collective unconscious permeate our waking life?
Is the world actually made out of language? Hint: this video.
How would Plato change the world if he was alive today?
Again, these are just questions and ideas to get your mind spinning. You can either answer them, or tackle a wholly unique topic. We’ve kept the topic relatively broad on purpose, as we’re looking for you to get creative. What do you deeply care about? What topic are you incredibly interested in? And how can you author an interesting perspective in regards to that topic, while making it useful to those who read it?
