Up to 13 credits toward early childhood education certificates may be earned if you:

  • Provide documentation noting achievement of the CDA or Oregon Registry Step 7.

If you have completed approved Head Start or other early childhood trainings that have an equal number of hours and learning outcomes as regular ECE credit courses:

  • Complete at least 12 credits toward the Early Childhood Education certificate or degree program.
  • Complete an RCC placement test at above the prescribed scores for RD30 and WR30 (may be waived if you have previous college credits).

The cost of awarding this type of credit is just $10 per credit. For more information, contact Bridey Mendoza-Moore, Early Childhood and Elementary Education Department chair, at 541-956-7278 or at [email protected].
