Essay Sign-Ups
The essay session for Practical Nursing applicants and LPN advanced placement applicants is required as a part of their application process. ONLY Practical Nursing Applicants and LPN Advanced Placement Applicants can schedule essays at this time.
If you are an Associate Degree Program applicant only, do NOT sign up for an essay session yet. Applicants for the ADN Program MUST place in the TOP-85 scoring applicants to be eligible to participate in the Phase II/Essay part of the process. Once scoring is complete for ADN Phase I, students will receive an email of their status and an invitation to register for an essay if they place in the top TOP-85. Any ADN applicants who sign up for the essay session (unless also applying to the Practical Nursing Program) before receiving notification of placing in the TOP-85m will have their reservation removed and another reservation request will need to be done after the TOP-85 notification.
Essays are scheduled to be read and scored by the end of April, 2025. OCNE policy states that notification of acceptance to the program will be done by June 1.
