Helen W. Whitaker Education Fund
The Helen M. Whitaker Education Fund provides low-interest loans for certified educators in Josephine County who are pursuing advanced education and professional development.
Eligible uses include:
- Advanced degrees.
- Administrative licensure.
- Subject area endorsements.
- Initial or continuing licensure.
- Specialized professional training.
Applicants must have a minimum of three years of experience, hold at least a bachelor’s degree and intend to continue working in the education field in Oregon. Rogue Community College instructors and instructional administrators in Josephine County are also eligible to apply.
Loans are available up to $10,000. Funds are interest-free while the applicant is actively enrolled in a program of study. Repayment begins upon program completion or termination at an annual interest rate of 3%. Recipients may take up to five years to repay the loan.
How to Apply
To apply for a Whitaker Education Loan through the RCC Foundation, complete and submit the application form below along with the $16 processing fee, which covers the cost of a credit report.
