Description
An introduction to multifaceted discipline and creation of comics and graphic novels. Through a series of in-class and take-home projects, students learn concepts and techniques of story-telling in a visual and sequential art process. Includes beginning drawing techniques in 1- and 2-point perspective, figurative drawing and character design. This is an ideal experience for anyone who has dreamed of creating their own worlds and tell the stories in the mediums of comics, web comics and graphic novels. A series of in-class projects will culminate in a final two-week sequential art project. Instructor will also discuss character design, lettering and cover illustration.
